PGW2440 KIT — TP-Link G.hn2400 Powerline AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Kit
The TP-Link PGW2440 KIT is a G.hn2400 powerline kit with Wi-Fi 6. It pairs a PG2400P passthrough powerline adapter (two gigabit ports, UK socket on the front) at the router with a PGW2440 powerline Wi-Fi extender that gives AX1800 dual-band Wi-Fi (1201 Mbps on 5 GHz, 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) and a gigabit port in another room.
What the PGW2440 KIT is for
It carries your connection through the mains wiring to rooms that Wi-Fi struggles to reach, such as an extension, loft room or garage. It uses the G.hn standard, so it is not compatible with HomePlug AV/AV2 adapters. The extender is EasyMesh compatible. Compare other Wi-Fi extenders and powerline, or the HomePlug TL-WPA4220 KIT.

What you will need
A router with a spare LAN port and two wall sockets on the same electrical installation (avoid extension leads). Two Ethernet cables are in the box.

Will it work with my older TP-Link powerline adapters?
Only with other G.hn adapters. TP-Link state it is not compatible with HomePlug AV/AV2 powerline adapters.
What Wi-Fi does the extender provide?
AX1800 dual-band Wi-Fi 6: 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.
Do I lose a socket?
Not at the router end: the PG2400P has a passthrough socket.
Does it work with mesh?
The PGW2440 is EasyMesh compatible.
