The TP-Link Omada Sector Bridge 5 is a 5 GHz 867 Mbps central hub for point-to-multipoint wireless bridging, with 16 dBi directional antennas giving a 120° horizontal beam and a range of up to 5 km (3.1 mi). It has one gigabit port, an IP66 enclosure and runs from 12 V DC, 802.3af PoE or 24 V passive PoE.

What you will need

Line of sight from the hub to each remote end, a pole or wall position, outdoor-rated network cable, a power source (a 24 V passive PoE adapter is included) and Flex Bridge 5 units at the remote ends.

What does the Sector Bridge 5 connect to?

It is the hub end. TP-Link pair it with the Flex Bridge 5, with up to 32 point-to-multipoint connections.

How is the Sector Bridge 5 powered?

12 V DC/1 A, 802.3af PoE or 24 V passive PoE (adapter included). Max draw is 10.5 W on PoE, so any 802.3af or 802.3at PoE switch, for example the Omada SG2210MP, will power it.

Does the Sector Bridge 5 need an Omada controller?

No. It works standalone (web or Omada app), and can be centrally managed by an Omada controller such as the OC200 or OC300, or Omada Central.

Can I use the Sector Bridge 5 to connect CCTV cameras across a site?

Yes. A typical layout is a Sector Bridge 5 on the main building and a Flex Bridge 5 at each camera pole or outbuilding; the Flex Bridge 5 has PoE out to power a camera at that end.

What range does it cover?

TP-Link quote up to 5 km (3.1 mi) with a 120° horizontal beamwidth. Note the 2.4 GHz radio is for device management only.

How quickly can I get it?

We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily.
