The TP-Link Omada Flex Bridge 5 is a 5 GHz 867 Mbps indoor/outdoor wireless bridge for point-to-point or multipoint links of up to 5 km (3.1 mi), with integrated 17 dBi directional antennas. It has three gigabit ports, two of which provide PoE out, and an IP66 enclosure.

What the Flex Bridge 5 is for

Use a pair of Flex Bridge 5 units for a point-to-point link, or point several at a Sector Bridge 5 hub (TP-Link: up to 8 Flex nodes, or up to 32 with a Sector Bridge). Browse more wireless bridges and access points.

What you will need

Line of sight to the other end, a pole or wall position, outdoor-rated network cable, and a power source. A passive PoE adapter is included (for dry indoor use).

We will go through the Flex Bridge 5 with you before you buy — the distance and line of sight between the two sites, how the bridge will be powered, and what bandwidth you need at the far end — and depending on your requirements and your area we can recommend a qualified trade installer. Does the Flex Bridge 5 have PoE out?

Yes. Two of its three gigabit ports support PoE out, so it can power a camera or AP at the far end. TP-Link quote 26.06 W max with PoE out in use.

How is the Flex Bridge 5 powered?

12 V DC, 802.3at/af PoE or passive PoE (adapter included). For PoE out, feed it from an 802.3at PoE+ switch such as the Omada SG2210MP (8 PoE+ ports) or SG2428P (24 PoE+ ports).

Does the Flex Bridge 5 need an Omada controller?

No. It works standalone (web or Omada app), and can be centrally managed by an Omada controller such as the OC200 or OC300, or Omada Central.

Can I use the Flex Bridge 5 to connect CCTV cameras in another building?

Yes. Bridge the network to an outbuilding, gatehouse or car park pole, and the PoE out ports can power a camera there.

Flex Bridge 5 or EAP215-Bridge KIT?

Both reach 5 km. The Flex Bridge 5 adds PoE out and works with the Sector Bridge 5 hub for multipoint; the EAP215-Bridge KIT is a pre-paired point-to-point kit.

How quickly can I get it?

We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. Orders placed before 2:30pm are normally dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. You can also collect in store from our trade counter — call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
