The TP-Link Tapo C246D is an IP65 indoor/outdoor security camera with two 2K lenses: a fixed 2.8 mm wide-angle lens and a 6 mm pan/tilt lens, so it can watch a wide area and zoom in on movement at the same time. It has colour night vision with three spotlights, AI detection and a 99 dB siren. Everything is set up and viewed in the Tapo app.

• The free Tapo app on an iOS or Android phone.
• A microSD card for local recording (fitted in the camera, up to 512 GB; not in the box), or an optional Tapo Care cloud subscription.
• A mains socket within reach of the supplied power adapter.

No. It records to a microSD card in the camera (up to 512 GB, card not included) without a subscription. Tapo Care cloud storage is optional and needs a subscription.
