The TP-Link Tapo C410 is a battery-powered, wire-free 2K 3MP security camera for indoor or outdoor use. It is IP65 rated, has two spotlights for full-colour night vision, person detection, two-way audio and a 94 dB siren, and can be topped up by the optional Tapo A201 solar panel (sold separately). Everything is set up and viewed in the Tapo app.

What you will need

• A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with a good signal where the camera will go.
• The free Tapo app on an iOS or Android phone.
• A microSD card for local recording (fitted in the camera, up to 512 GB; not in the box), or an optional Tapo Care cloud subscription.
• Optional: a Tapo A201 solar panel (sold separately) to keep the battery topped up.

Does the Tapo C410 need a subscription?

No. It records to a microSD card in the camera (up to 512 GB, card not included) without a subscription. Tapo Care cloud storage is optional and needs a subscription.

Can the Tapo C410 be used outdoors?

Yes. TP-Link rate it IP65, with an operating temperature of -20°C~45°C.

How is the Tapo C410 powered?
