The TC80 KIT is for outdoor spots with no power nearby, such as a garden, outbuilding, gate or barn. The solar panel tops up the camera's battery so it can run without regular recharging. What you will need

• A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with a good signal where the camera will go.
• The free Tapo app on an iOS or Android phone.
• A microSD card for local recording (fitted in the camera, up to 512 GB; not in the box), or an optional Tapo Care cloud subscription.
• A mounting spot where the solar panel gets direct sunlight.

Does the TC80 KIT need a subscription?

No. It records to a microSD card in the camera (up to 512 GB, card not included) without a subscription. Tapo Care cloud storage is optional and needs a subscription.

Can the TC80 KIT be used outdoors?

Yes. TP-Link rate it IP65, with an operating temperature of -20°C ~ 45°C (-4 °F ~ 113 °F ).

How is the TC80 KIT powered?

Can I add the TC80 KIT to an NVR?
