The TP-Link Tapo L900-5 is a 5 m LED strip (5000 × 10 × 1.6 mm) with over 16 million colours plus warm and cool white, dimmable from 1% to 100%. It can be cut to length and stuck in place with the 3M adhesive, and it connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with no hub. A controller box on the cable switches it on and off and changes colour by hand.

What you will need

A mains socket near where the strip starts, a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the free Tapo app. The surface should be clean and dry for the 3M adhesive.

The L920-5 is an RGBIC strip with 50 separate colour zones and a PU coating, drawing 20.5 W max; the L900-5 draws 13.5 W max, and TP-Link do not list RGBIC zones for it.
