Tapo S220 — TP-Link Smart Light Switch, 2-Gang 1-Way

The TP-Link Tapo S220 replaces a standard 2-gang 1-way light switch and needs no neutral wire, so it suits older UK wiring. It talks to a Tapo hub over 868 MHz and runs on two AAA batteries (included), with a low-battery reminder and tool-free battery replacement. With the hub you can control each light from the Tapo app, by voice, on schedules or from a Tapo sensor.

What the Tapo S220 is for

It is for making two lights on one switch plate smart without changing bulbs, for example a hallway or landing light that turns on when a Tapo motion sensor sees you. What you will need

A Tapo H100 or H200 hub (not included; the Tapo H200 is in our range), the Tapo app and a 2-gang 1-way switch position. Replacing a wall switch is mains electrical work and should be done by a competent person or qualified electrician.

Does the Tapo S220 need a hub?

Yes. TP-Link state a Tapo Hub (H100 or H200) is required for all smart features. The hub is sold separately.

Does it need a neutral wire?

No. It is designed to work without a neutral wire.

How is it powered?

By two 1.5 V AAA batteries, which are included, with a low-battery reminder in the app.

What lights can it switch?

Up to 600 W LED, 600 W CFL, 1000 W incandescent or 1000 W FTL, or a 50 W fan, per gang.

Is the S220 1-way or 2-way?

It is a 2-gang 1-way switch.

How quickly can I get it?
