The Yealink W71P is a SIP cordless phone system for small and medium-sized businesses. In the box is the W70B DECT IP base station and one W71H handset with charger cradle. The W71H handset has a 1.8-inch black-and-white screen, a backlit keypad, HD audio and noise cancellation. The base connects to your network by Ethernet and takes PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or the supplied adapter.

What the W71P is for

What you will need

A SIP account or IP PBX/VoIP service and a network port for the base. Use a PoE (IEEE 802.3af) switch or the supplied power adapter. To add more users, add W71H handsets (up to 10 per base).

Yealink quotes up to 30 hours talk time and up to 340 hours standby in ideal conditions, and a 10-minute charge gives 2 hours talk time.

What is the difference between the W71P and W73P?

Both use the W70B base. The W71P comes with the W71H handset (1.8-inch black-and-white screen, up to 30 hours talk time); the W73P comes with the W73H (1.8-inch colour screen, up to 35 hours talk time and a 3.5 mm headset jack).

Will it work with other brands of DECT handset?

No. Yealink states its DECT technology is not compatible with any third-party DECT devices, such as base stations or handsets from other makers.
