A CCTV monitor is the screen you plug into your recorder to watch your cameras live and play back footage. We stock CCTV and security monitors from Hikvision, HiLook and Dahua, from 18.5 to 55 inches, plus decoder monitors, interactive flat panels and digital signage displays up to 86 inches.

Which size of security monitor do I need?

Pick the size from the number of cameras you want on screen at once:

  • Up to 24 inches for a 4-camera view on a desk or counter.
  • 27 to 32 inches for 8 or 9 cameras.
  • 43 or 55 inches for a 16-camera grid, or a wall screen viewed from across the room.

Check these before you order

  • Inputs. Make sure the monitor's inputs match the outputs on your NVR or DVR. Most models here have HDMI; many also have VGA, and some have DisplayPort (DP).
  • 4K. A 4K screen only shows a 4K picture if the recorder can output 4K. If the recorder outputs 1080p, a Full HD (FHD) monitor will look the same.
  • Speakers. If your cameras record sound, pick a model listed "with speakers".
  • Running hours. If the screen will be on day and night, check the duty rating on the product page. Some models, such as the Dahua range here, are listed as 24/7 monitors.

What is a decoder monitor?

A decoder monitor can show IP camera streams itself, over a network cable, without a separate recorder feeding it. The Hikvision decoder monitors in this range decode up to 16 or 36 IP channels, depending on the model. They suit a second viewing point, such as a reception desk, away from where the recorder sits.

Interactive panels and digital signage

The larger Hikvision screens in this category are not CCTV monitors. Interactive flat panels (65, 75 and 86 inch touch screens) are for meeting rooms and classrooms. Digital signage displays show adverts or notices in shops and receptions. Brackets, OPS PC modules and screen-sharing dongles for these panels are listed here too.

For a side-by-side comparison of every Hikvision model, with inputs, speakers and duty ratings, see our Hikvision monitors and displays guide. Hikvision prices are shown to trade account holders when logged in.
