In short: Hikvision makes four kinds of screen, and they are not interchangeable. CCTV monitors show the picture from your recorder. Decoder monitors show IP cameras directly, with no recorder or PC. Interactive flat panels are touch screens for classrooms and meeting rooms. Digital signage displays play your own content around the clock. Hikvision CCTV monitors, 18.5 to 55 inches
These connect straight to the HDMI or VGA output of an NVR or DVR. Pick the size from the camera grid you want to show, then check the inputs match your recorder.

How to choose
- Counter or desk, up to 4 cameras: 18.5 to 24 inches. The DS-D5022F2-1V2S and DS-D5024F2-BV2S are rated 7 × 24 H and have speakers. The 18.5-inch DS-D5019S0-1P0 is rated 7 × 12 H, so use it where the screen is only on during opening hours.
- 8 or 9 cameras: 27 to 32 inches, so each tile stays readable.
- 16 cameras, or a wall screen viewed from across the room: 43 or 55 inches. Choose the 4K DS-D5043U3-1V0S or DS-D5055U3-1V0S if your recorder has a 4K HDMI output; otherwise the Full HD DS-D5043F3-1V0S shows the same picture for less.
- Analogue feed without a recorder: the DS-D5222F2-1V1S and DS-D5232F2-1V1S have a CVBS (BNC) input.

Hikvision decoder monitors: live IP cameras with no recorder or PC
A decoder monitor plugs into the network and displays IP cameras directly. It is for viewing, not recording, which makes it a tidy second viewing point: a reception desk, a manager's office or a shop counter, with the recorder locked away elsewhere.

Hikvision interactive flat panels (Ultra series)
Touch screens for classrooms, meeting rooms and training spaces. All six share the same platform: 4K (3840 × 2160 @60 Hz), Android 14.0 with 8 GB memory and 128 GB storage, up to 50-point infrared touch with a ≤ 2 ms response, anti-glare glass rated 9H, a 2 × 20 W + 25 W loudspeaker system, Wi-Fi 6, and a front Type-C port that charges a laptop at up to 65 W. Hikvision rates them for 7 × 16 H operation. The only choice is the size, and whether you want the built-in camera and microphones.

Accessories for the interactive panels
- Stands: DS-D5ABKY2-S for 55, 65 and 75-inch panels (85 kg capacity) and DS-D5ABKY2-B for 86-inch (135 kg capacity). A wall mount bracket is already in the panel's box.
- OPS PC modules, to put a Windows 11 PC inside the panel: DS-D5AC12T5-8S2 (Core i5, 8 GB, 256 GB) and DS-D5AC12T7-16S5 (Core i7, 16 GB, 512 GB). Confirm OPS compatibility with us before ordering.
- Wireless screen-sharing dongles: DS-D5SC3B-B (black) and DS-D5SC3B-W (white).
Hikvision digital signage
Displays with a built-in Android player for menus, promotions, wayfinding and notices, so there is no separate media player to hide. Hikvision rates all of them for 7 × 24 H operation. The UH models are brighter (700 cd/m²) for shop fronts and sunny receptions.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a CCTV monitor and a TV?
A CCTV monitor is built to stay on. Most Hikvision monitors in our range are rated 7 × 24 H, connect straight to the HDMI or VGA output of an NVR or DVR, and have VESA mounts. A domestic TV is not rated for continuous use.
What size monitor do I need for my CCTV system?
For a 4-camera view on a counter, 18.5 to 24 inches. For 8 or 9 cameras, 27 to 32 inches. For 16 cameras or a wall screen viewed from across a room, 43 or 55 inches.
Do I need a 4K monitor for CCTV?
Only if your recorder has a 4K HDMI output. If it does, a 4K monitor makes a 16-camera grid noticeably sharper.
Can a Hikvision monitor run 24 hours a day?
Most can: Hikvision rates them 7 × 24 H. The exception in our range is the 18.5-inch DS-D5019S0-1P0 (7 × 12 H). Interactive flat panels are rated 7 × 16 H and digital signage 7 × 24 H.
What is a Hikvision decoder monitor?
A monitor with an IP video decoder built in. It shows IP cameras live over the network without an NVR or PC. It is for viewing, not recording.
Which Hikvision monitors have a BNC (CVBS) input?
The 21.45-inch DS-D5222F2-1V1S and the 32-inch DS-D5232F2-1V1S.
Do Hikvision monitors have built-in speakers?
Most do. The exceptions in our range are the DS-D5019S0-1P0 and the DS-D5227U3-1P0, which has an audio output for external speakers instead.
What is the difference between the /A and /B interactive flat panels?
The /B version adds a built-in 48MP camera and an 8-array microphone with a 12 m voice distance. Everything else is the same.
