The Dahua DHI-XVR5108HS-4KL-X is an 8 channel 4K Penta-brid XVR CCTV DVR in a compact 1U case. It is an 8 channel digital video recorder, a CCTV recorder and a hybrid DVR for CCTV cameras: one recorder takes five camera formats, HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP, and the eight analogue channels auto-detect the camera signal. What does Penta-brid mean?

Both names describe this product. Dahua lists it as an XVR, a digital video recorder (DVR) that works with analogue HD cameras and IP cameras.
Which cameras can I connect?

How much storage can I fit?

How far can the cameras be from the recorder?
