The RG-EG209GS is a desktop gigabit router with eight 10/100/1000 ports plus an SFP port for adding optical fibre. Ruijie recommend it for up to 200 concurrent clients, with load balancing and link redundancy across several WAN ports.

Ruijie describe the RG-EG209GS as a cloud managed SFP router. Its SFP port can be set as LAN or WAN, which adds optical fibre connectivity. Up to 4 WAN ports can be load balanced, with link redundancy between them.

Throughput is 1000 Mbps in Turbo Mode and 600 Mbps in Normal Mode, for 200 concurrent clients. Ruijie list IPSec, OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP VPNs, bandwidth management by application or user group, a customisable portal page, and secure remote access to an NVR, IP camera or internal server. Advanced functions can also be configured through the Ruijie Reyee App.

What you will need

An internet line for the WAN port, and an SFP module if you want to use the SFP port, as Ruijie's page lists none with the router. The specification lists no PoE, so cameras or access points need a separate PoE source. It is a desk unit measuring 202 mm x 108 mm x 28 mm.
