Archer VX1800v — TP-Link AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 VDSL/ADSL Modem Router
The TP-Link Archer VX1800v is an AX1800 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 modem router with a built-in VDSL2 (G.vector, G.INP) and ADSL/ADSL2+ modem. Wi-Fi runs at 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz from four external antennas, and it has one gigabit WAN/LAN port, three gigabit LAN ports, a USB 2.0 port and an FXS port for a VoIP phone.
What the Archer VX1800v is for
It connects straight to a phone-line (FTTC or ADSL) broadband service and can replace an ISP router, including the phone service where your provider gives SIP details. What you will need
Your broadband username and password (or VLAN details) from your ISP, a master socket or filter for the phone line, and SIP account details from your provider if you will use the phone port.

Does the Archer VX1800v work on UK FTTC broadband?
It has a VDSL2 modem with G.vector (G.993.5), the technology used on FTTC lines, plus ADSL2+ for copper-only lines. Check that your provider allows third-party routers.
Can I plug a phone into it?
Yes. It has an FXS (RJ11) port for an analogue phone using SIP VoIP, with call forwarding, call blocking and an integrated answering machine.
Can it use 4G as a backup?
Yes. TP-Link list a 3/4G Router mode using a USB modem in the USB 2.0 port.
Are the Ethernet ports gigabit?
Yes: one gigabit WAN/LAN and three gigabit LAN.
What is in the box?
The modem router, an external splitter, RJ11 DSL cable, RJ45 Ethernet cable, power adapter and quick installation guide.
