The TP-Link Omada EAP603-Outdoor is an AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 long-range indoor/outdoor access point for business Wi-Fi. It delivers 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz, has one Gigabit Ethernet port, and is powered by 802.3at PoE+. TP-Link quote range of up to 200 m on 2.4 GHz and 300 m on 5 GHz, IP66 when wall mounted (IP65 on a pole) and 250+ associated clients.
What the EAP603-Outdoor is for
The EAP603-Outdoor is a long-range outdoor tp link access point for covering large open areas from one mast, such as farm yards, car parks and sports fields.
Typical uses are car parks, campsites, farmyards, beer gardens, school playgrounds and yards between buildings.

What you will need
A PoE+ source, outdoor-rated network cable and a pole or wall position. TP-Link list a passive PoE adapter in the package. For central management, add an Omada controller (hardware, software or Omada Central cloud).

Does the EAP603-Outdoor support PoE, and which TP-Link PoE switch powers it?
Yes. TP-Link specify 802.3at PoE+ input (42.5-57 V) and a maximum draw of 15.8 W, so power it from an 802.3at PoE+ switch such as the Omada SG2210MP (8 PoE+ ports) or SG2428P (24 PoE+ ports). TP-Link also list a passive PoE adapter in the box.
Does the EAP603-Outdoor need an Omada controller?
It can be set up through the Omada app, and it is managed centrally by any Omada controller: TP-Link list Omada Central (cloud-based), the Omada hardware controllers such as the OC200 and OC300, and the free Omada Software Controller. TP-Link note that cloud access requires an Omada controller.
What Wi-Fi standard is the EAP603-Outdoor?
It is Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), AX1800 class, with TP-Link quoting 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz.
How far does the EAP603-Outdoor reach?

Can the EAP603-Outdoor be used outdoors?
Yes. TP-Link rate it IP66 when wall mounted and IP65 when pole mounted, with an operating range of -30 to 70 °C.
EAP603-Outdoor or EAP610-Outdoor?
Same AX1800 class; the EAP603-Outdoor is quoted for longer range, the EAP610-Outdoor is slimmer and IP68.
