The TP-Link Omada EAP625-Outdoor HD is an AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 high-density indoor/outdoor access point for business Wi-Fi. It delivers 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz, has one Gigabit Ethernet port, and is powered by 802.3at PoE+ or 48 V passive PoE. TP-Link rate it IP67 for pole or wall mounting and 1,020+ concurrent clients.

What you will need
A PoE+ source, outdoor-rated network cable and a pole or wall position. The PoE adapter is not included, so use a PoE+ switch or PoE injector. For central management, add an Omada controller (hardware, software or Omada Central cloud).

Does the EAP625-Outdoor HD support PoE, and which TP-Link PoE switch powers it?
Yes. TP-Link specify 802.3at PoE+ input and a maximum draw of 12.5 W (EU), so power it from an 802.3at PoE+ switch such as the Omada SG2210MP (8 PoE+ ports) or SG2428P (24 PoE+ ports). 48 V passive PoE is also supported, but no adapter is supplied.
Does the EAP625-Outdoor HD need an Omada controller?
It can be set up on its own through its web interface or the Omada app, and it is managed centrally by any Omada controller: TP-Link list Omada Central (cloud-based), the Omada hardware controllers such as the OC200 and OC300, and the free Omada Software Controller. TP-Link note that cloud access requires an Omada controller.
What Wi-Fi standard is the EAP625-Outdoor HD?
It is Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), AX1800 class, with TP-Link quoting 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz.

EAP625-Outdoor HD or EAP610-Outdoor?
Same AX1800 radio rates, but the HD model is rated for 1,020+ clients against 250+ for the EAP610-Outdoor, and it uses detachable antennas.
