What you will need
A PoE source, outdoor-rated network cable and a pole or wall position. A 48 V passive PoE adapter is included (for indoor use). For central management, add an Omada controller (hardware, software or Omada Central cloud).

Does the EAP650-Outdoor support PoE, and which TP-Link PoE switch powers it?
Yes. TP-Link specify 802.3at PoE+ input and a maximum draw of 12.5 W (EU), so power it from an 802.3at PoE+ switch such as the Omada SG2210MP (8 PoE+ ports) or SG2428P (24 PoE+ ports). A 48 V passive PoE adapter is also included.
Does the EAP650-Outdoor need an Omada controller?
It can be set up on its own through its web interface or the Omada app, and it is managed centrally by any Omada controller: TP-Link list Omada Central (cloud-based), the Omada hardware controllers such as the OC200 and OC300, and the free Omada Software Controller. TP-Link note that cloud access requires an Omada controller.
What Wi-Fi standard is the EAP650-Outdoor?

Yes. The EAP650-Outdoor has an IP67 weatherproof enclosure and is rated for -30 to 70 °C, so it can be pole or wall mounted outside.
EAP650-Outdoor or EAP610-Outdoor?
The EAP650-Outdoor is AX3000; the EAP610-Outdoor is AX1800 with an IP68 rating. Both include a passive PoE adapter.
