The TP-Link Omada EAP673 is an AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 ceiling mount access point for business Wi-Fi. It delivers 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz, has one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, and is powered by 802.3at PoE+ or 12 V/2 A DC. TP-Link rate it for ceiling or wall mounting, covering up to 140 m² (1500 ft²) and 250+ concurrent clients.
What the EAP673 is for
The EAP673 is a high-throughput Wi-Fi 6 ceiling tp link access point for hospitality, education, retail and offices where 5 GHz capacity matters most.
The 2.5G port lets the 4804 Mbps 5 GHz radio run without a gigabit bottleneck.

What you will need
A PoE source and a network cable to the mounting position. The power adapter is not included. For central management, add an Omada controller (hardware, software or Omada Central cloud).

Does the EAP673 support PoE, and which TP-Link PoE switch powers it?
Yes. TP-Link specify 802.3at PoE+ input and a maximum draw of 20.8 W (EU version), so power it from an 802.3at PoE+ switch such as the Omada SG2210MP (8 PoE+ ports) or SG2428P (24 PoE+ ports). It also accepts 12 V/2 A DC; no DC adapter is included.
Does the EAP673 need an Omada controller?
It can be set up on its own through its web interface or the Omada app, and it is managed centrally by any Omada controller: TP-Link list Omada Central (cloud-based), the Omada hardware controllers such as the OC200 and OC300, and the free Omada Software Controller. TP-Link note that cloud access requires an Omada controller.
What Wi-Fi standard is the EAP673?
It is Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), AX5400 class, with TP-Link quoting 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz.
How many devices and how much area does the EAP673 cover?
TP-Link quote 250+ concurrent clients and coverage of up to 140 m² (1500 ft²). These are TP-Link test figures; walls, ceilings and interference reduce real coverage, so plan a site survey for larger buildings.
Can the EAP673 be used outdoors?
No. It is an indoor unit rated for an operating temperature of 0–40 °C. For outdoor Wi-Fi see the Omada outdoor models in our access points range.
EAP673 or EAP653?
The EAP673 is AX5400 with a 2.5G port; the EAP653 is AX3000 with a gigabit port and a smaller 160 mm body. Choose the EAP673 for heavier traffic.
How quickly can I get it?
We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. You can also collect in store from our trade counter — call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
