KE100 — TP-Link Kasa Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve

The TP-Link KE100 replaces the head of a thermostatic radiator valve so you can set each room's temperature and schedule from the Kasa Smart app or by voice. It runs on two AA batteries (included), fits most valve bodies with the six adapters in the box, and links over 868 MHz to the Kasa Hub KH100, which TP-Link state is required for all smart features.

What the KE100 is for

It is for zoning a wet central heating system room by room: heat bedrooms only when they are used, warm the house before you get home with geofencing, and stop heating while a window is open. A Tapo T310/T315 temperature sensor or T110 contact sensor can add readings and window detection. See the wider smart home section.

What you will need

A Kasa Hub KH100 (not included), the Kasa Smart app on Android 5.0 or iOS 10 or later, and radiators fitted with thermostatic valve bodies; TP-Link state it is only compatible with thermostatic valves, not manual valves.

Does the KE100 need a hub?

Yes. TP-Link state the Kasa Hub KH100 is required for all smart features. It is not included.

Will it fit my radiator valve?

It fits most thermostatic valve bodies with the M30 × 1.5 thread or the included RA, RAV, RAVL, CAL, M28 and GIA adapters. It is not compatible with manual valves.

Is it a Tapo or Kasa product?

It is a TP-Link Kasa device and is set up in the Kasa Smart app; it can use Tapo sensors connected to the same KH100 hub.

How is it powered?

By two AA batteries, which are included.

Does it have open window detection?

Yes. It stops heating while airing the room, and works with the Tapo T110 contact sensor.

How quickly can I get it?
