Hikvision DS-KABD8003-RS3/S — stainless-steel rain shield for a 3-module KD8 door station

The DS-KABD8003-RS3/S is the 3-position frame and hood for Hikvision's KD8 modular door station. The main unit — DS-KD8005-IME1/S — takes the top position and DS-KD-K12/S nametag, DS-KD-E reader or DS-KD-TDM display modules fill the rest; the shield mounts to the wall with four expansion bolts, the modules clip in after wiring and the cover is fixed with the supplied hexagon wrench (Hikvision's installation notes). It is the stainless-steel version, for /S-finish panels. Hikvision publishes one-, two- and three-module sizes.

Installation

Per Hikvision: stick the drilling template to the wall and level it, drill four 6 × 25 mm holes, insert the expansion sleeves and fix the frame and shield with four expansion bolts; pass the module-connecting cables through the frame, connect the main unit (top grid) and the sub-modules with the module cables, clip the modules into the frame and fix the cover with the hexagon wrench supplied.
