Hikvision DS-KD-KP/S — keypad module, stainless-steel finish, IP65 IK07

The DS-KD-KP/S is the /S-finish version of the DS-KD-KP keypad module for Hikvision's KD8 modular door station: a 12-button keypad module, powered and addressed over RS-485 from the main unit and rated IP65 and IK07 for -40 °C to 55 °C outdoors. The /S suffix is the finish Hikvision uses across the KD8 range for its stainless-steel-fronted units — the DS-KD8005-IME1/S main unit, the DS-KD-KK/S and DS-KD-K12/S nametag modules and the DS-KABD8003-RS2/S rain shield — so specify it when the panel is built in stainless.

Hikvision's KD8 modular door station is built from a main unit (camera, microphone, speaker and one call button) plus sub-modules that clip into a common frame: nametag buttons, card reader, keypad, display, indicator and induction loop. Modules connect to the main unit over RS-485 and take their 12 VDC from it, so a panel for a block of flats is specified module by module. Tell us the flat count and the entrance and we will draw up the frame, modules and rain shield.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. Building the panel

A keypad module suits a larger block where a button per flat is impractical, with nametag modules added only where wanted. Hikvision's page lists the module's 12 buttons; what the keypad does on a given panel (room-number calling, PIN door release) is set on the KD8 main unit during commissioning — tell us the functions you need and we will confirm them. The module takes 12 VDC and RS-485 from the main unit through the supplied cables, so there is no wiring beyond the frame.

Outdoor rated

IP65 sealing and IK07 impact resistance, -40 °C to 55 °C, 10% to 95% humidity. The module measures 98.2 × 100.2 × 33.7 mm and mounts flush or on the surface within the KD8 frame. Consumption is 1 W.
