The RG-EW1200 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave2) router from Ruijie Reyee with four external omnidirectional antennas. It is set up in the Reyee Router App and supports Reyee Mesh 3.0.

What the RG-EW1200 is for

The RG-EW1200 is a home Wi-Fi router. Ruijie say its four external omnidirectional antennas (4.5 dBi on 2.4 GHz, 5.5 dBi on 5 GHz) cover all types of floor plan, and it is rated at up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz.

Through the Reyee Router App you can set time limits, speed limits and black/white lists for specified devices, use a health mode that limits radiation exposure and turns off the indicator lights, and use remote reboot, Xpress Mode and network sharing.

The four Ethernet ports run at 100 Mbps, not gigabit, so wired connections are limited to 100 Mbps. Ruijie recommend 8 concurrent clients on 2.4 GHz and 16 on 5 GHz, although their text says it can handle up to 96 terminals at once.

What you will need

An internet connection to plug it into, such as a broadband service with a modem or ONT, and a smartphone if you want to use the Reyee Router App. The box contains the router, a power adapter, a quick start guide and a Cat5e UTP cable.
