The RG-EW300N is a basic 300 Mbps wireless router from Ruijie Reyee. It works on the 2.4 GHz band with Wi-Fi 4 and can run as a router, repeater, access point or WISP client.

What the RG-EW300N is for

Ruijie position the RG-EW300N as a basic, reliable 300 Mbps router. It has 16 MB of flash and 64 MB of RAM, and two external omnidirectional antennas with 5 dBi gain on 2.4 GHz.

Four modes cover most simple jobs: router mode creates a private wireless network, AP mode adds Wi-Fi to a wired network, repeater mode extends an existing signal and WISP mode connects to an ISP's wireless network and shares it. The Reyee Router App offers parental controls (time limits, speed limits, black and white lists) and a health mode that limits radiation exposure and switches off the indicator lights. Ruijie recommend 8 concurrent clients.

What you will need

For router mode you need a broadband service to connect it to. In repeater mode you need an existing Wi-Fi network to extend, and in WISP mode an ISP wireless network to join. No. The RG-EW300N is a Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) router with a 2.4 GHz radio only, at up to 300 Mbps.

Does the RG-EW300N support Reyee Mesh?

No. Ruijie list Reyee Mesh 3.0 as not supported on the RG-EW300N. The Ruijie Reyee range includes mesh-capable routers.

Ruijie give a recommended number of 8 concurrent clients on 2.4 GHz.

How quickly can I get it?
