The Ruijie RG-AP180 is an indoor Wi-Fi 6 wall plate access point with two radios, giving peak rates of 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1.201 Gbps on 5 GHz. It mounts on the wall or on an 86 mm European-standard junction box, with one Gigabit uplink and four Gigabit downlink ports.
What the RG-AP180 is for
Ruijie recommends the RG-AP180 for indoor scenarios such as dormitories, offices, hotels, stores and classrooms. It is a wall plate unit measuring 86 mm x 116 mm, 19 mm deep when fitted in-wall and 24 mm above the wall, and it mounts on the wall or on a junction box.
The four Gigabit downlink ports connect wired devices, while the single Gigabit uplink carries the connection back to your network and accepts PoE power. Each radio is 2x2 MU-MIMO. Ruijie recommends 120 active devices per AP and lists a maximum of 256 associated clients, with the actual number depending on the environment.
Ruijie lists Ruijie Cloud and web-based management (Eweb), and the AP can be switched between Fat, Fit and Cloud modes. In Cloud mode it is managed through Ruijie Cloud, and Fit mode involves an access controller; see our access controllers if you plan to run one.

What you will need
A power source: either a PoE port that complies with 802.3af or 802.3at, or a 12 V/1 A DC adapter with a 2.1 mm/5.5 mm centre-positive plug. The AP draws at most 10 W, so a standard 802.3af port is enough, although Ruijie notes it performs fully on 802.3at. Ruijie says the PoE source and the DC adapter are both bought separately, and a PoE switch or PoE injector can supply power and data on the one cable. It fits an 86 mm European-standard junction box; tell us the box you have and we will check.

How many Ethernet ports does the RG-AP180 have?
It has five Gigabit RJ45 ports: one uplink that also accepts PoE input, and four downlink ports for wired devices. There is also a Micro USB console port under the decorative cover.
