The Ruijie RG-AP840-L is a dual-radio Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point with a 2x2 radio on 2.4 GHz and a 4x4 radio on 5 GHz. It has a 5GBASE-T port, a 5GE SFP/RJ45 combo port whose SFP slot is shared with an RJ45 port, a Gigabit LAN 2 port and a USB 3.0 port.
What the RG-AP840-L is for
Ruijie position the RG-AP840-L for indoor scenarios in higher education, government, general education, finance and business. The 5 GHz radio reaches up to 4.804 Gbps and the 2.4 GHz radio up to 574 Mbps, for a combined peak of 5.378 Gbps across up to six spatial streams.
It supports up to 1024 associated clients, varying with the environment, and Ruijie recommend a maximum of 150 active devices. Fat, Fit and Cloud modes are available, with management through Ruijie Cloud or Eweb.
Power matters here. On 802.3bt PoE++ it operates with optimal performance, and LAN 2 can supply 48 V/12.95 W to an IoT unit. On 802.3at it starts normally (22 W), and on 802.3af each radio works in one spatial stream mode.

What you will need
You need power: an 802.3bt PoE++ port for full performance, or 802.3at (up to 22 W drawn), or a 54 V DC/1.1 A adapter, which Ruijie say is purchased independently. Standard 802.3af limits each radio to one spatial stream. If you use the SFP side of the combo port you need a 1GE or 2.5GE SFP module.
