The TP-Link Omada EAP783 is a BE19000 Wi-Fi 7 ceiling mount access point. It is tri-band (2.4, 5 and 6 GHz), quoting 6 GHz: 11520 Mbps, 5 GHz: 5760 Mbps, 2.4 GHz: 1376 Mbps, and has two 10 Gbps Ethernet ports (20 Gbps aggregated). It is powered by 802.3bt PoE++ or 12 V DC (DC adapter not included). TP-Link rate it for 760+ concurrent clients and up to 200 m² of coverage.

What the EAP783 is for

It is for offices, schools, clinics and hotels that want Wi-Fi 7 speeds from a ceiling access point, with a 10 Gbps port so the wired link does not hold the Wi-Fi back. See our full range of access points.

Power it from a PoE++ (802.3bt) switch port that also runs at 10G or 2.5G and manage the whole site from one Omada controller.

As a TP-Link Omada access point the EAP783 can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through its own web interface.

What you will need

A PoE++ (802.3bt) source and network cable to the mounting position. The DC power adapter is not included. For central management, add an Omada controller such as the OC200 or OC300, or use Omada Central cloud.

Does the EAP783 support PoE?

Yes. TP-Link specify 802.3bt PoE++ input, or 12 V DC (no adapter in the box). Maximum draw: 39W.

Does the EAP783 need an Omada controller?

It can be set up on its own through its web interface or the Omada app, and is managed centrally by any Omada controller: Omada Central (cloud-based), hardware controllers such as the OC200 and OC300, or the free Omada Software Controller.

What Wi-Fi standard is the EAP783?

Wi-Fi 7 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), BE19000 class, tri-band (2.4, 5 and 6 GHz).

How many devices does the EAP783 support?

TP-Link quote 760+ concurrent clients and coverage up to 200 m². These are TP-Link test figures; walls, ceilings and interference reduce real coverage, so plan a site survey for larger buildings.

Can the EAP783 be used outdoors?

No. It is an indoor unit (operating temperature 0°C to 40°C). For outdoor Wi-Fi see the Omada outdoor models in our access points range.

How quickly can I get it?

We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. Orders placed before 2:30pm are normally dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. You can also collect in store from our trade counter — call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
