The Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP2260(E) is a dual-radio Wi-Fi 6 ceiling access point with eight spatial streams, running 4x4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz at up to 2401 Mbps and 4x4 MIMO on 2.4 GHz at up to 800 Mbps. A 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port carries the wired uplink.

What the RG-RAP2260(E) is for

Ruijie position the RG-RAP2260(E) for high-density environments. Its eight spatial streams are split four and four between the bands, with four built-in omnidirectional antennas for each, and the specification gives a hardware maximum of 256 associated clients (64 on 2.4 GHz, 256 on 5 GHz). That is a ceiling, not a design figure: active users share the radio rates of 2401 Mbps on 5 GHz and 800 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.

The uplink port is 10/100/1000/2500BASE-T, so on a multi-gigabit port of a network switch the wired side runs at 2.5 Gbps, and on an ordinary Gigabit switch it runs at 1 Gbps. A second 10/100/1000 port is also fitted. Ruijie list Reyee Mesh technology and free cloud management for this model.

It is an indoor unit, rated IP41 for 0°C to 40°C, for ceiling or wall mounting. If 4x4 radios are more than the site needs, the RG-RAP2260 is the 2x2 AX3000 model and draws up to 18 W rather than 25.4 W.

What you will need

PoE+ is the key requirement. The RG-RAP2260(E) draws up to 25.4 W, well above the 15.4 W of a standard 802.3af port, and Ruijie specify PoE+ for it, so check that your PoE switch or PoE injector supplies 802.3at on the port you plan to use and that the switch's total PoE budget covers every powered device. The alternative is a 12 V, 2.5 A DC adapter (5.5 mm x 2.1 mm connector), which is not listed in the box; Ruijie's packing list shows the mounting bracket, screws, expansion anchors and guide. A 2.5G switch port is needed to run the uplink above 1 Gbps.

PoE+ (802.3at). Its maximum power consumption is 25.4 W, which a standard 802.3af port, at up to 15.4 W, cannot supply. It can alternatively run from a 12 V, 2.5 A DC adapter, which takes priority if both are connected.

The specification gives a hardware maximum of 256 associated wireless clients, with up to 64 on 2.4 GHz and 256 on 5 GHz.

Yes. Ruijie list ceiling and wall mounting, and a mounting bracket, screws and expansion anchors are in the box. It is rated IP41 with an operating range of 0°C to 40°C, so it is for indoor use.
