The Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP2260(H) is a dual-radio Wi-Fi 6 ceiling access point with eight spatial streams and 4x4 MU-MIMO on both bands. Ruijie rate it at 4803 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1147 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and fit two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports, which Ruijie describe as a 5 Gbps wired uplink.

What the RG-RAP2260(H) is for

Ruijie position the RG-RAP2260(H) for high-density Wi-Fi and quote 500+ client connections; the specification gives a hardware maximum of 512 associated clients (64 on 2.4 GHz, 512 on 5 GHz). That is a ceiling rather than a design figure, since active users share the radio rates, but with four streams on each band it suits Ruijie's high-density positioning.

Both Ethernet ports are 10/100/1000/2500BASE-T, and Ruijie describe them as integrated dual 2.5GE uplinks giving a 5 Gbps wired uplink. Using both means two multi-gigabit ports on the network switch and two cable runs. Ruijie's page does not explain how the two uplinks are combined, so tell us the switch model and we will check.

Ruijie's page lists free cloud management with self-organising network (SON), centralised network management, scenario-based configuration, cloud portal authentication and remote monitoring, plus Reyee Mesh for adding an extra access point without cabling. It is an indoor unit for 0°C to 40°C, and Ruijie do not state an IP rating. If 40 W per access point is more than your PoE switch can provide, the RG-RAP2260 is the 2x2 AX3000 model and draws up to 18 W.

What you will need

Power is the thing to get right. The RG-RAP2260(H) draws up to 40 W, which is more than the 30 W an 802.3at PoE+ port supplies, so although Ruijie list PoE+ and PoE++, plan on a PoE++ (802.3bt) port on your PoE switch or a PoE++ injector, or use the 48 V, 1 A DC input (5.5 mm x 2.1 mm connector). No power adapter appears in Ruijie's packing list, which shows the access point, mounting bracket, screws and wall anchors and the manual. To use both 2.5G ports you need two 2.5G switch ports and two network cable runs.
