The Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP62 is a small, round dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point that Ruijie aim at small and medium-sized businesses such as offices and dining venues. It pushes on to its mount on a ceiling or wall and links to the network over one Gigabit Ethernet port.

Ruijie describe the RG-RAP62 as an access point for small and medium-sized businesses and name offices and dining areas as typical settings. At 175 mm across and 39 mm high it is a compact fitting, and the direct push-in mount with a large guide groove is meant to make lining it up straightforward. It is an indoor unit, rated IP41 with an operating range of 0°C to 40°C.

Both radios are 2x2 MU-MIMO, giving up to 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz. The hardware maximum is 256 associated wireless clients with both bands enabled (64 on 2.4 GHz, 256 on 5 GHz), which is an upper limit and not a planning figure. If you expect heavier use, the RG-RAP2266 has a 2401 Mbps 5 GHz radio and a 512-client maximum.

Ruijie list Reyee Mesh, which they say reduces cabling costs, along with roaming, WIO 3 AI-powered wireless optimisation, a standalone AP portal and a heatmap for visualising the installation process. Their page gives no further management detail for this model.

What you will need

Power and a cabled network connection. Maximum consumption is 12.95 W, so a standard 802.3af port on a PoE switch or a PoE injector is enough, and a PoE+ port works too. Without PoE, use a 12 V, 1.5 A DC adapter with a 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm plug; Ruijie's page does not list the box contents, so ask us whether one is supplied. Allow a run of network cable to each mounting position; Cat5e or better is the usual choice for a Gigabit link.

Yes. Its maximum consumption is 12.95 W, which is inside the 15.4 W an 802.3af port supplies, and Ruijie list both PoE and PoE+ as supported. It can also run from a 12 V DC adapter, and if both are connected the DC adapter is used in preference.
