The RG-RAP6262(G) is an AX1800-class outdoor Wi-Fi 6 access point in a sealed, spherical IP68 housing, with four built-in omnidirectional antennas for all-round coverage. It has two Gigabit Ethernet ports and runs from PoE+ or a 12 V DC supply.

Ruijie position the RG-RAP6262(G) as an outdoor access point for all-round coverage, mounted on a wall or pole. The radios are 2x2 MU-MIMO on each band, rated at up to 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and Ruijie list a maximum of 256 associated wireless clients with both bands enabled (64 on 2.4 GHz, 256 on 5 GHz). Ruijie quote a coverage radius of 100 m at 2.4 GHz and 300 m at 5 GHz from field tests, and note that real range varies with the environment and the receiving device, so treat those as a guide rather than a guarantee.

The housing is sealed to IP68 and described by Ruijie as waterproof, dustproof, moisture-proof and flame-retardant, with wind erosion protection, 6 kV lightning protection and an operating range of –30°C to +65°C. Reyee Mesh is listed for adding outdoor Wi-Fi with no extra cabling, although the unit still needs power. Ruijie list cloud functions of remote monitoring, remote Wi-Fi management, cloud portal authentication and wireless intelligent optimisation.

Both wired ports are copper Gigabit Ethernet; there is no SFP port, and Ruijie list no PoE budget, so the access point does not power another device. If you need a fibre uplink or a higher 5 GHz rate, look at the RG-RAP6262, the AX3000 model in the same style with a 1G SFP port.

What you will need

Ruijie list PoE+ or a 12 V, 2 A DC adapter as the power options, with a maximum consumption of 18 W. That is above the 15.4 W an 802.3af port supplies, so use a PoE+ (802.3at) PoE switch port or PoE injector rather than a standard PoE port; if PoE+ and DC are both connected, the DC adapter is used first. No power adapter or Ethernet cable is listed in the box, so allow for outdoor-rated network cable as well. The box does list pole clamps, a mounting plate, expansion bolts and pre-installed cable glands.
