The Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP6202(G) is a spherical outdoor access point with four built-in omnidirectional antennas, giving up to 866 Mbps on 5 GHz and 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The housing is rated IP68 and the operating range is -30°C to +65°C, with wall or pole mounting.

What the RG-RAP6202(G) is for

The RG-RAP6202(G) is an outdoor access point for adding Wi-Fi coverage in all directions from one wall- or pole-mounted unit. Ruijie quote omnidirectional coverage with a radius of 100 metres at 2.4 GHz and 300 metres at 5 GHz from its four built-in antennas, and note that these are field-test figures that vary with the environment and the receiving device.

The housing is built for exposed positions: Ruijie describe it as completely sealed, waterproof, dustproof, moisture-proof and flame-retardant, with wind erosion protection, an IP68 rating and 4 kV lightning protection. Reyee Mesh is listed for adding extra outdoor Wi-Fi without a data cable, and Ruijie list free cloud management with remote monitoring, remote Wi-Fi management and cloud portal authentication.

It is a Wi-Fi 5 unit with 2x2 MIMO per band, up to 866 Mbps on 5 GHz and 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and a hardware maximum of 110 associated clients (64 on 2.4 GHz, 110 on 5 GHz); the specification lists no IPv6 support. What you will need

A power source: either PoE or a 12 V, 1.5 A DC adapter on the DC socket (5.5 mm outer, 2.1 mm inner diameter); the adapter is used first if both are connected. Maximum consumption is 12.95 W, so a standard PoE (802.3af) port on a PoE switch or a PoE injector is enough. Ruijie's box list has the pole clamps, mounting plate, expansion bolts, screws and pre-installed cable glands but no power adapter or injector, so order one separately. Add an outdoor-rated network cable run, or use Reyee Mesh for the data link and supply power at the mounting point.
