The Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP62-OD is a small Wi-Fi 6 access point made for use indoors or outside, giving up to 2401 Mbps on 5 GHz and 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. It is rated IP65, works from -30°C to +65°C and mounts on a wall or a pole.

What the RG-RAP62-OD is for

Ruijie describe the RG-RAP62-OD as a versatile indoor/outdoor mesh access point for villas and retail businesses, and for outdoor Wi-Fi coverage at open-space businesses. The IP65 rating and the -30°C to +65°C operating range are what let the same 70 mm x 35 mm x 200 mm unit go on an outside wall or pole as well as indoors.

Both radios are 2x2 MU-MIMO: up to 2401 Mbps on 5 GHz and 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with a hardware maximum of 512 associated clients (64 on 2.4 GHz, 512 on 5 GHz) - a ceiling, not a working load. The three omnidirectional antennas are built in, so there are no external antennas to fit. If you want detachable antennas, the RG-RAP52-OD has them, but it is a Wi-Fi 5 model.

The limits to know: the single Ethernet port is Gigabit, so traffic to the wired network tops out at 1 Gbps whatever the radio rate, and there is no DC input. Ruijie list Reyee Mesh and cloud management for this model, and the specification shows IPv6 support.

What you will need

A PoE+ source. Ruijie list PoE/PoE+ as the power supply, but the 16 W maximum is above the 15.4 W a standard PoE (802.3af) port supplies, so plan on a PoE+ (802.3at) port on a PoE switch or a PoE+ injector; there is no DC socket to fall back on. Ruijie's page gives no box contents list, so do not assume an injector is included - ask us. For outdoor mounting allow for an outdoor-rated network cable run to the wall or pole.
