What the TL-SG116P is for

The TL-SG116P is a PoE switch for powering and connecting IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and VoIP phones over a single network cable. TP-Link list a 120 W PoE budget shared across its 16 PoE ports, using 802.3af/at PoE+.

You need network cable for each device (Cat5e or above for gigabit links) and a mains socket for the switch. Total PoE draw of all connected devices must stay within the 120 W budget.
