The RG-ANT13-360 is the omnidirectional option among the three antennas Ruijie offer for the RG-AirMetro series base station. It works on 5 GHz with 13 dBi of gain, covers 360° horizontally with a 7° vertical angle, and is rated for links of up to 2 km.

What the RG-ANT13-360 is for

Ruijie offer three antennas for the base station of the RG-AirMetro wireless bridge series, and the RG-ANT13-360 is the one for all-round coverage. With a 360° horizontal pattern it suits a base station placed in the middle of the sites it serves, with CPEs in any direction around it: for example IP cameras spread around a site and reporting to one central point, or WISP subscribers on all sides of a mast.

The trade-off for all-round coverage is gain and distance. At 13 dBi and 2 km it has the lowest gain and the shortest rated distance of the three; the RG-ANT16S-120 covers a 120° sector and is rated to 5 km, and the RG-ANT20S-90 covers a 90° sector and is rated to 10 km. The 7° vertical angle is narrow, so take care with remote sites that sit well above or below the antenna's height.

For outdoor use it carries an IP55 rating, with an operating range of –40°C to +80°C and 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity. It measures 120 mm x 82 mm x 769 mm excluding the mounting bracket, so allow for its 769 mm height when you plan the mounting position.

What you will need

The antenna does nothing on its own. It is for the base station of the RG-AirMetro series, which we list as the RG-AirMetro550G-B, and each remote site needs an AirMetro CPE facing back towards it. Ruijie's page for this antenna does not state the connector type or list the box contents, so ask us to confirm how it attaches to the base station and what fixings are supplied before you order. If you already own a base station, tell us the model and we will check it against this antenna.
