What the EAP620 HD is for

As a high-density model it is for busy spaces: lecture halls, conference rooms, hotels, retail and open-plan offices where many devices connect at once. See our full range of access points.

What you will need

A PoE source and network cable to the mounting position. For central management, add an Omada controller such as the OC200 or OC300, or use Omada Central cloud.

Buying from Zenith Security Co.

We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the EAP620 HD with you before you buy, including how many access points your site needs and whether your switch has the PoE budget, and depending on your requirements and your area we can recommend a qualified trade installer. We have been operating since 2012 and you can visit our trade counter in Wolverhampton.

Does the EAP620 HD support PoE?

Yes. TP-Link specify 802.3at PoE+ or 48 V passive PoE input, or 12 V DC. Maximum draw: EU: 14.4 W (For PoE); 13.1 W (for DC).

Does the EAP620 HD need an Omada controller?

It can be set up on its own through its web interface or the Omada app, and is managed centrally by any Omada controller: Omada Central (cloud-based), hardware controllers such as the OC200 and OC300, or the free Omada Software Controller.

What Wi-Fi standard is the EAP620 HD?

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax/ac/n/g/b/a), AX1800 class, dual-band.

How many devices does the EAP620 HD support?

TP-Link quote 1,020+ concurrent clients and coverage up to 140 m². These are TP-Link test figures; walls, ceilings and interference reduce real coverage, so plan a site survey for larger buildings.

Can the EAP620 HD be used outdoors?

No. It is an indoor unit (operating temperature 0°C to 40°C). For outdoor Wi-Fi see the Omada outdoor models in our access points range.

EAP620 HD or EAP610?

The EAP610 is AX1800 for general office use; the EAP620 HD is the high-density AX1800 model, rated by TP-Link for 1,020+ concurrent clients.
