Ajax Superior NVR H2DAI16PAC (32-ch) - 32 Channel AI Network Video Recorder with 16 PoE Ports
Superior NVR H2DAI16PAC (32-ch) is an AI-powered 32 channel recorder from Ajax's Superior range. Its onboard AI recognises people, pets and vehicles and detects line crossing, and it can run that analysis on up to 12 channels from other brands' IP cameras, so an existing system gains AI detection without replacing its cameras. Two hot-swappable SATA III bays take drives of up to 24 TB each, used in redundancy mode (the same footage on both drives) or split mode (streams shared across both). It has a Gigabit Ethernet port plus 16 PoE ports (IEEE 802.3af/at, up to 25 W each and 200 W in total) that power cameras directly, a 4K HDMI output and a USB 3.0 port on the front, so it can run as a monitoring station on site with the built-in video management system as well as in the Ajax apps. Linked to an Ajax alarm, an event from a detector brings the matching camera to the front of the video wall. Choose black or white above.

Works with
Ajax BulletCam, TurretCam, DomeCam Mini and IndoorCam cameras, and other IP cameras that support ONVIF or RTSP, with AI analysis on up to 12 channels from other brands. PoE cameras can take their power straight from the recorder. Alarm-linked video needs an Ajax hub with Ajax detectors. Add one or two SATA surveillance hard drives of up to 24 TB each, and a 4K or HD monitor if you want local viewing.

What can the AI detect?
People, pets and vehicles, plus line crossing. It works with Ajax cameras and, according to Ajax, on up to 12 channels from other IP cameras.
Does it come with hard drives?
No. It has two SATA III bays, each taking a 2.5 or 3.5 inch drive of up to 24 TB. Drives can be swapped while the recorder runs.
How is it different from the standard NVR H2D series?
The Superior models add onboard AI detection, take drives of up to 24 TB instead of 16 TB, handle up to 384 Mbps instead of 160 Mbps and have a USB 3.0 front port.
Which Superior NVR should I choose?
H2DAI2GAC has two Gigabit Ethernet ports and no PoE, in 8, 16 or 32 channels. H2DAI8PAC has 8 PoE ports in 8 or 16 channels. H2DAI16PAC has 16 PoE ports in 16 or 32 channels.
Can I use cameras from other brands?
Yes. It records IP cameras that follow ONVIF profiles or stream over RTSP, and Ajax lists it as conformant with ONVIF Profile G and Profile S.
Where can I fit it?
Indoors, on a desk or in a rack with the brackets supplied. Ajax rates it IP20, for 0 °C to +50 °C and humidity up to 75%. It measures 330 × 330 × 44 mm, weighs 3.3 kg and uses up to 280 W.
