One hub, encrypted radio and one app for the whole alarm.

Ajax Systems builds its intruder alarm around a hub. Detectors, keypads and sirens link to it over Jeweller, Ajax's own two-way encrypted radio, and the whole system is set up and run in the Ajax apps. The Baseline range covers homes and small businesses, while the Superior range adds Grade 3 devices and Fibra wired options for commercial work. Start with a hub or a kit, then add the devices the building needs.

How does Jeweller radio work?

  • Two-way and encrypted: each device and the hub confirm what they send, and the data is protected by block encryption with a dynamic key. Frequency hopping helps the link cope with interference.
  • Long range: Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller and Hub 2 Plus Jeweller reach devices up to 2,000 m away in open space. Superior Hub Hybrid 2 uses Superior Jeweller, rated up to 3,500 m.
  • Checks you can set: the hub polls each device every 12 to 300 seconds and warns users and the monitoring company if one stops answering or the radio is jammed.

Which grade do I need?

  • Grade 2 to EN 50131: the Baseline Jeweller devices, such as Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller, MotionProtect Jeweller, DoorProtect Jeweller and KeyPad Jeweller, suit most homes and small shops.
  • Grade 3 to EN 50131: Superior Hub G3 Jeweller, Superior Hub Hybrid 2 and the Superior G3 detectors and keypads are for higher-risk commercial sites.
  • PD 6662:2017: Ajax lists the UK scheme on most of its intrusion devices. Check each product page, and agree the system design with your insurer or monitoring company.

What do MotionCam and Fibra add?

  • Photo verification: MotionCam detectors take a short series of photos when they trigger, so you can see what set the alarm off. The wireless versions send them to the hub over Wings, a second radio channel.
  • Fibra wired bus: Fibra devices run on 4-core cable. Superior Hub Hybrid 2 has 8 Fibra lines of up to 2,000 m each and takes up to 250 wired and wireless devices in total.
  • More than one route out: the hubs report over Ethernet and up to two SIM cards, and Hub 2 Plus Jeweller adds Wi-Fi, so losing the broadband doesn't take the alarm offline.
