The TP-Link Omada SG3218XP-M2 is an L2+ managed switch with 16 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports and two 10G SFP+ slots, with a 240 W PoE budget. Rackmount steel case.
The TP-Link Omada SG3218XP-M2 is an L2+ managed switch with 16 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports and two 10G SFP+ slots. 4 ports supply PoE++ (802.3bt, up to 90 W) and 12 supply PoE+ (802.3at, up to 30 W), from a 240 W total budget. It has two cooling fans and fits a 19-inch rack (1U).
It suits multi-gig Wi-Fi and high-power PoE devices: Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 access points that need more than gigabit, PTZ cameras and other PoE++ loads, powered over the data cable. Add up the draw of your devices against the 240 W budget before you choose. See our PoE switch guide and range of fully managed switches.
As a TP-Link Omada switch the SG3218XP-M2 can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through its own web interface.

A 19-inch rack or cabinet (or a shelf, using the rubber feet), network cable for each device, SFP+ modules or DAC cables for the 10G slots, such as the SM5110-SR (multi-mode), SM5110-LR (single-mode), SM5220-1M DAC or SM5310-T (10GBASE-T), and an Omada controller such as the OC200 or OC300 if you want central management.
We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the SG3218XP-M2 with you before you buy, including the PoE budget against your cameras or access points, and depending on your requirements and your area we can recommend a qualified trade installer. We have been operating since 2012 and you can visit our trade counter in Wolverhampton.
Yes. 4 ports are PoE++ (802.3bt, up to 90 W) and 12 are PoE+ (802.3at, up to 30 W).
240 W in total, shared across the 16 PoE ports.
It is a TP-Link Omada switch and works with Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controllers. A controller is optional: it can also be managed standalone through the web GUI or CLI.
It supports 48 IPv4/IPv6 static routes and IP interfaces, so it can route between VLANs using static routes. For RIP or OSPF see the SG5 Lite L3 models.
Its two SFP+ slots take 10G SFP+ modules or DAC cables, such as the SM5110-SR, SM5110-LR or SM5220-1M. Check TP-Link's Omada compatibility list or send us your fibre type and distance.
The SG3218XP-M2 has 16 2.5G RJ45 ports, two 10G SFP+ slots, 4 PoE++ and 12 PoE+ ports with a 240 W budget. The SG3210XHP-M2 has 8 2.5G RJ45 ports, two 10G SFP+ slots, 8 PoE+ ports with a 240 W budget.
