The TP-Link Omada SG3428X is an L2+ managed switch with 24 gigabit RJ45 ports and four 10G SFP+ slots. It is fanless and fits a 19-inch rack (1U).
What the SG3428X is for
It is an access or distribution switch for offices, schools and warehouses that need VLANs to keep CCTV, office and guest traffic apart, with 10G SFP+ slots for fibre links between cabinets. It does not supply PoE. See our range of fully managed switches and other network switches.
As a TP-Link Omada switch the SG3428X can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through its own web interface.

What you will need
A 19-inch rack or cabinet (or a shelf, using the rubber feet), network cable for each device, SFP+ modules or DAC cables for the 10G slots, such as the SM5110-SR (multi-mode), SM5110-LR (single-mode), SM5220-1M DAC or SM5310-T (10GBASE-T), and an Omada controller such as the OC200 or OC300 if you want central management.

Does the SG3428X supply PoE?
No. It has no PoE output. For PoE see the SG3428MP.
Is the SG3428X Omada compatible, and does it need a controller?
It is a TP-Link Omada switch and works with Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controllers. A controller is optional: it can also be managed standalone through the web GUI or CLI.
Can the SG3428X route between VLANs?
It supports 48 IPv4/IPv6 static routes and IP interfaces, so it can route between VLANs using static routes. For RIP or OSPF see the SG5 Lite L3 models.
What SFP modules does the SG3428X take?
Its four SFP+ slots take 10G SFP+ modules or DAC cables, such as the SM5110-SR, SM5110-LR or SM5220-1M. Check TP-Link's Omada compatibility list or send us your fibre type and distance.
SG3428X or SG3428X-M2?
The SG3428X has 24 gigabit RJ45 ports, four 10G SFP+ slots and no PoE. The SG3428X-M2 has 24 2.5G RJ45 ports, four 10G SFP+ slots and no PoE.
How quickly can I get it?
We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. Orders placed before 2:30pm are normally dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. You can also collect in store from our trade counter — call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
