SG5428X — TP-Link Omada 24-Port Gigabit Stackable Lite L3 Managed Switch with 4 10G SFP+
The TP-Link Omada SG5428X is a stackable Lite L3 managed switch with 24 gigabit RJ45 ports and four 10G SFP+ slots. It is fanless and fits a 19-inch rack (1U).
What the SG5428X is for
It is an access or distribution switch for offices, schools and warehouses that need VLANs to keep CCTV, office and guest traffic apart, with 10G SFP+ slots for fibre links between cabinets. It does not supply PoE. See our range of fully managed switches and other network switches.
As a Lite L3 switch it routes between VLANs with static routing, RIP and OSPF, and up to four units can be stacked over the 10G SFP+ ports and managed as one.
As a TP-Link Omada switch the SG5428X can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through its own web interface.

Does the SG5428X supply PoE?
No. It has no PoE output. For PoE see the SG5428XMPP.
Is the SG5428X Omada compatible, and does it need a controller?
It is a TP-Link Omada switch and works with Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controllers. A controller is optional: it can also be managed standalone through the web GUI or CLI.
Can the SG5428X route between VLANs?
Yes. It is a Lite L3 switch with static routing (up to 512 IPv4 routes), RIP and OSPF, so it can route between VLANs and act as the core of a small to medium network.
