The DH-HS4408-4ET-60 is a managed PoE switch in a hardened iron housing, built for mounting inside a comms cabinet or on a DIN rail rather than a standard office desk. Four PoE ports cover cameras or access points, with four SFP ports for Gigabit fibre uplinks over longer distances.
Who is it for?
Small camera runs in a plant room, comms cabinet or unheated space where a DIN-rail mounted switch fits the install better than a desktop unit, and a fibre uplink is needed to reach the recorder over distance.

Frequently asked questions
Why does this have SFP ports instead of RJ45 for the uplink?
SFP fibre modules let the uplink run much further than the 100m limit of copper Ethernet — useful linking a remote cabinet back to the main recorder.
Can this handle outdoor temperatures?
It's rated –30°C to +65°C, wider than a standard office switch, though it should still be mounted in an enclosure rather than left fully exposed.
Is it locally managed or cloud managed?
Locally managed via web interface and SNMP — no cloud account required.
