Dahua DH-LR1002: EoC Passive Converter
The Dahua LR1002 converts between an RJ45 network port and a BNC coax port so you can run IP cameras over existing RG59 coaxial cable. It works with a Dahua ePoE switch, which sends both data and power along the coax - no local power is needed at the converter. It supports 100 Mbps and 10 Mbps modes, with MDI/MDIX auto-detection.
Who is it for?
Installers upgrading an analogue CCTV system to IP while reusing the existing coax runs, especially on long cable runs where standard 100m Ethernet is not enough.

Dahua's figures assume RG59 coax with DC impedance no more than 5Ω per 100m. With a 53V ePoE switch the loads are higher (for example 20W/23W at 400m).
What you will need
A Dahua ePoE switch at the head end, such as the DH-LR2110-8ET-120-V2, and an LR1002 at the camera end of each coax run. The camera connects to the converter with a short network lead.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need a power supply?
No. It is passive and is powered over the coax by the ePoE switch.
How far can I go?
Up to 400m at 100 Mbps or 1000m at 10 Mbps on RG59 coax.
Will it work with a normal PoE switch?
Dahua designs it to work with an ePoE switch, which drives the coax directly.
