Dahua DH-S5500-24GF4XF-E — 28-Port L3 Managed Gigabit Aggregation Switch with 4-Port 10G SFP+
The DH-S5500-24GF4XF-E is a Layer 3 aggregation switch for the core of a larger network — 24 SFP Gigabit fibre ports feeding up to 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks, with full routing, IRF stacking and enterprise security features. It sits above the camera-facing access switches, not in place of them.
Who is it for?
Larger, multi-building or multi-switch sites where several access switches need aggregating onto a high-capacity fibre core, with proper Layer 3 routing between VLANs — not a typical single-site camera install.

What you will need
- Access switches with PoE for the actual cameras — this switch aggregates them, it doesn't power devices directly
- SFP and SFP+ modules matched to your fibre runs
- A network engineer or installer comfortable configuring VLANs and routing, or our help getting it set up
Frequently asked questions
Can I plug cameras directly into this switch?
It has no PoE, so cameras should connect to PoE access switches, which then uplink into this aggregation switch over fibre.
What's IRF?
Intelligent Resilient Framework — lets multiple physical switches be stacked and managed as one logical device for redundancy.
Is this the right switch for a single-site camera install?
