Frequently asked questions
How many cameras can I connect to the DHI-NVR5216-8P-EI?
It supports up to 16 channels in total. The first 8 can be powered directly from the recorder's built-in PoE ports; cameras for channels 9-16 will need power and network provided separately, for example via a PoE switch.
What is the maximum camera resolution supported?
The NVR supports IP cameras up to 32MP, with decoding capability of up to 2-channel 32MP@25fps when AI is disabled.
Does this NVR have built-in AI, or does it rely on the camera?
