Multipair and multicore cable for alarms, telephony and control wiring.
Multicore cable has several separate wires (cores) inside one sheath. Multipair cable groups those wires in twisted pairs. Both suit alarm, telephone and control wiring. Trade and retail customers are welcome.
How do I choose the right cable?
- Count the cores: add up the wires each device needs, plus spares.
- Multicore or multipair: check what the equipment maker asks for.
- Access control readers: these need multi-core cable, not a spare data run.
- Data instead? See bulk network cable.
