Who is it for?
IP cameras carry video and PoE power over one Cat5e/Cat6 cable to a PoE NVR — ideal when cabling from scratch or wanting resolutions/analytics beyond coax. At 6MP with a 2.8mm bullet form factor, this camera suits small business entrances, driveways, loading bays and residential perimeters where a wide-angle, weatherproof camera with active deterrence and two-way talk is needed. Its IP67 rating makes it a waterproof outdoor security camera, and PoE power makes it straightforward to install.

- If recording people or vehicles on private or public land, appropriate GDPR-compliant signage
Frequently asked questions
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP67 and works from -40C to +60C, so it can be mounted outdoors.
Will this camera work with a non-Dahua NVR?
Yes. It supports ONVIF (Profile S, G and T), so it can be added to most third-party NVRs and VMS platforms, though some Dahua-specific analytics may only surface fully on Dahua recorders.
Does it need a separate power supply?
No — it can be powered over PoE from a compatible NVR or switch, or via a standalone 12VDC supply if PoE isn't available.
How much storage will I need?
At 6MP with H.265 compression, expect noticeably more storage per camera than a 2MP setup; plan NVR HDD capacity around your camera count, frame rate and retention period.
Can the warm light and IR run together?
The illuminator can be set to auto or manual, switching between IR and warm light (or off) depending on the scene and deterrence needs.
