The DH-IPC-HFW2849TLP-S-PV-0280B is an 8MP (3840×2160) Dahua bullet camera fitted with a fixed 2.8mm lens. Dahua's Smart Dual Light design combines up to 30m IR illumination with a 30m warm-light array, giving usable colour footage after dark or a bright warning light as an active deterrent, backed by a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio.

Who is it for?

IP cameras carry video and PoE power over one Cat5e/Cat6 cable to a PoE NVR – ideal when cabling from scratch or wanting resolutions/analytics beyond coax. This 8MP bullet is well suited to shop fronts, warehouse yards, car parks and building perimeters where a clear image of number plates or faces at range matters. Will this camera work with a non-Dahua NVR?

Yes. It supports ONVIF (Profile S, Profile G and Profile T), so it can be added to most third-party NVR/VMS platforms, though some Dahua-specific analytics may only be available with a Dahua or Dahua-compatible recorder.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No separate power supply is required if using a PoE (802.3af) NVR or switch, which delivers both power and data over the network cable. It can alternatively be run from a 12VDC power supply if PoE isn't available.

How much storage will I need?

The camera also supports a Micro SD card up to 256GB for local edge storage, but for continuous recording we recommend sizing your NVR's hard drive based on 8MP bitrate, frame rate and the number of days footage needs to be retained.

Can the warm light be used for anything other than deterrence?

Yes, the warm light illuminator can be set to provide full-colour night footage in low light, in addition to its function as an active-deterrence warning light when motion or intrusion is detected.
