Ajax EN54 Indicator Jeweller - Wireless Addressable Remote Fire Alarm Indicator
EN54 Indicator Jeweller is a battery-powered external LED indicator for the Ajax EN54 fire alarm system. It is fitted where a fire detector cannot be seen directly, for example behind a door, above a suspended ceiling or inside a technical space. When a detector it is paired with is triggered, the frame of the indicator flashes an intense red light so the alarm can be spotted from outside. It can be mounted on a wall or a ceiling without opening the enclosure, and it is designed for indoor and outdoor use. It talks to the control panel over the encrypted Jeweller radio at up to 1,700 m in open space. Choose white or black above.

The Ajax EN54 system: EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller (the control panel), directly or through EN54 Fire ReX Jeweller. It is paired with EN54 fire detectors, such as the EN54 FireProtect (Smoke) Jeweller, to show their alarms.
Common questions
What is it for?
It repeats the alarm of a fire detector that is out of sight. Ajax suggests detectors hidden behind doors, above suspended ceilings or inside technical spaces. It does not detect fire itself.
How is it linked to a detector?
Add it to the Ajax control panel by scanning a QR code in an Ajax app, then pair it with the fire detectors by creating a fire alarm scenario.
Is it the same as the EN54 FireProtect (VAD)?
No. Ajax lists a separate EN54 FireProtect (VAD) Jeweller visual alarm device. This indicator shows an alarm with a flashing LED frame and is aimed at pointing to a hidden detector. See the VAD page if you need a visual alarm device.
Can it be fitted outside?
Yes. Ajax designs it for indoor and outdoor use, with an IP54 rating and an operating range of -10 °C to +50 °C.
How long do the batteries last?
Ajax calculates up to 5 years on the two CR123A batteries supplied. They come fitted and are changed without tools.
