Ajax FireProtect 2 AC (Heat/CO) Jeweller - Mains Wireless Heat and Carbon Monoxide Alarm
FireProtect 2 AC (Heat/CO) Jeweller is a mains-powered fire detector for homes that joins an Ajax wireless system. It does not sense smoke. It watches for heat with two thermistors that meet the requirements for Class A1R heat detectors, and for carbon monoxide with a chemical sensor that Ajax rates for a 10-year service life. An alarm sounds on the unit at 85 dB and is passed to the Ajax hub and apps. A lithium backup cell inside keeps it working through a power cut. Ajax says it can also work without being paired to a hub. Supplied in white.

Works with
Ajax hubs that use Jeweller radio, such as Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller or Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, and the Ajax apps for set-up and alerts. Common questions
Does it detect smoke?
No. This version has a heat sensor and a carbon monoxide sensor only. Ajax makes FireProtect 2 AC (Heat/Smoke) and (Heat/Smoke/CO) versions that add a smoke sensor.
When does the heat alarm trigger?
It alarms above 64 °C, or when the temperature rises by more than 10 °C in a minute or less. Its two thermistors sit outside the enclosure so they react quickly.
What happens in a power cut?
It runs from 110-240 V mains, and a built-in CR-2/3AZ lithium cell takes over if the supply fails. That cell is not replaceable.
Does it need an Ajax hub?
Ajax says it can operate without being paired to a hub, but with one you get the Ajax apps, notifications and interconnected alarms with other Ajax fire detectors.
Where can it be fitted?
Indoors only, between 0 °C and +50 °C with humidity up to 80%, within reach of a mains supply. The SmartBracket lets you adjust its position after fitting.
