Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW1430DEP-SW-0280B - 4MP 2K Wireless WiFi Dome IP CCTV Camera

Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW1430DEP-SW-0280B

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW1430DEP-SW-0280B (IPC-HDBW1430DEP-SW-0280B without the DH- prefix) is a 4MP 2K WiFi dome IP CCTV camera with a fixed 2.8mm lens. Dahua lists the model as DH-IPC-HDBW1430DE-SW, a 4MP IR fixed-focal Wi-Fi dome network camera, and names this 2.8mm part number in its ordering information. It joins the network over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (up to 80m in an open area) or the RJ-45 Ethernet port, has a built-in IR LED for night vision up to 30m, and is rated IP67 and IK10. It is powered from 12V DC rather than PoE. As a wireless CCTV camera it joins the network over Wi-Fi instead of a network cable, but it still needs its 12V DC power supply.

Also listed as IPC-HDBW1430DEP-SW-0280B.

Common questions

Is it a wireless camera?

Yes. It is a wireless WiFi security camera that connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, or over the RJ-45 Ethernet port if you prefer a cable, and it still needs a 12V DC power supply. It is also an infrared camera, with three built-in IR LEDs giving night vision up to 30m.

Can this camera be powered by PoE?

No. Dahua's datasheet gives 12 VDC as the power supply and lists a 12V DC 0.5A power adapter as included. The RJ-45 port is a 10/100 Base-T network connection.

How far does the Wi-Fi reach?

Dahua quotes up to 80m in an open area on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with a single antenna. The range varies with the actual environment.

How far can it see at night?

The built-in IR LED reaches up to 30m, and the camera works at 0 lux with the illuminator on.

Can it record to a memory card?

Yes. It supports a Micro SD card of up to 256GB, which is sold separately.

Is it weatherproof?

It is rated IP67 (dust-proof and tested after 30 minutes in 1m of water) and IK10 for impact resistance, in a metal housing.

Does it have a microphone?

Dahua's datasheet for this model does not list a built-in microphone or audio input.

Which lens does it have?

This part number ends 0280B, which is the 2.8mm lens with a 90 degree horizontal field of view. Dahua lists a separate 3.6mm part number.
